Scott Piatt

“Do what is right, not what is easy”

Since 2004, Scott has used his entrepreneurial, leadership, and project management skills to bring small business back to the southern tier.  Being told numerous times that he can’t do something, Scott continually proves his critics wrong.

Prior to founding Pinnacle Construction in 2018, Scott worked for Clark Contracting and McHone Industries.  And before that, he was the CEO and President of Summit Healthcare and Aesthetic Solutions where he was awarded the NYS Small Business of the Year and nominated to Biltmore’s Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals 4 years in a row.

Scott’s building experience started when he was a kid helping his father build projects locally.  This is where he developed his work ethic and attention to detail.  As he got older, his roles and responsibilities got bigger.  It was through the hard work, dedication, and determination that the construction trades provided, that he was able to help pay, and get through, medical school.  Despite the rigorous demands of caring for patients and owning and operating a large medical practice, Scott’s love has always been working with his hands.  Scott has worked to help bring solvency to companies of varying size through his knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma.   Managing employees, scheduling and managing multi-faceted projects, monitoring construction progress, securing permits and helping to budget site finances are just a small part of what Scott does.  He also tracks work quality, ensures safe work environments, and offers design and architectural/engineering ideas.

According to Scott, Integrity, Honesty, and Effective Communication are the cornerstones of his business. Succeeding is not difficult if you implement the golden rule.”

Scott is a 1991 graduate of Portville Central School where he holds a Regents Diploma with concentrations in Mathematics, Science, and French.  He is a 1996 graduate of Gannon University with concentrations in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, and Business.  He holds a Doctorate degree in Metaphysics which he received in 2009.  He is a successful, driven, dependable, team player with administrative, business, operations, and labor experience.  Scott also has a solid working knowledge of the construction and manufacturing industries including regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, SOP’s, FDA, DEA, JCAHO, etc.), and issues affecting those industries.  Scott also remains active in the medical community as an adjunct clinical instructor and professor at local medical schools.  He also holds certificates in Advanced Welding and Advanced Pipeline Welding along with CNC machining and programming.
